Notes of the story so far
« on: April 04, 2018, 05:14:00 pm »
Dispatch-
* 50 weird cats
* Bears in several emergencies, one is confirmed black bear, possibly the other one
* Blue mist, able to transfer through calls
* Weird hallucinations? There really was no blood?
* A guy hearing things from a book club? Hearing the devil (mentioned from the people having a book club) probably linked
* Manager 13 possibly linked to the callers
* Weird hacker helper person says everything is a simulation, manager 13 is bad
* Cats “possibly” way 600 pounds, possibly a clue to something else
* If person signals police, they come in and everyones ok
* If person stays in, the cats come in, even though they never opened the window to signal the police, weird
* Watchers, come through the wires, neighbors disconnected
* Guy named JEN*
* Caller than “glitches”
* Sends “hel” but no p, possibly trying to get help before it completely goes dead
* One call with summary of “SOS” but in Morse code
* “Line not safe need help” also in Morse code
* “Can’t help don’t waste save lives” still in Morse
*  Rewind, got “it’s not safe seek Jensen” probably means the neighbor who talked about JEN*
* Asks who’s Jen “not safe I’ll try again later”
* “Nothing is going on here”
* Manager 13 now suspicious
* Asks if I used any skills
* Told him I used Morse code, applauded because of honesty
* Told 13 I don’t trust him entirely, took it as a joke
* Went back and denied any use of Morse code, 13 noted the conversation on file
* He’d hate to reprehend me, but then said wait I don’t think I would
* He wouldn’t today
* Blue mist, man said it happened to his neighbor a while ago, sent picture
* Told him to touch the mist, error on his phone and he felt dizzy, told him to stay there and got an error disconnect
* Weird demonic kid in the ambulance, the recording, what is he saying???
* Book club neighbor, got new hearing aids, could be in the system as well
* Neighbor heard someone asking him for something
* Complaint for not enough cream in chocolate, maybe a symbol for something probably not
* Although system said he was eliminated
* Man wanted someone to talk to, threatens you when you say you’ll call police
* REALLY A RECRUITER FOR iRespond
* Offers a job almost
* Manager intervened
* “Glitch”
* Gained rewind
* Snake bite, this call seems normal

What I think so far: Obviously this Dispatch program has something going on. I’m interested in all the “glitches that occur” also people traveling through wires isn’t normal. When it says the caller was eliminated, I think that has to do with the people going through the wires. Hopefully we can find out more soon, please comment other things you find!

I’m not sure if you have seen it yet but on my first play through I got a call about if I knew hacking. Of course I didn’t because it was my first shift but I haven’t seen it since. Going to try to replicate the shift see if I can get it.

In the call with the creepy boy and the message that you can barely understand, does anyone know how we unlock the skill that will allow us to understand the 10 code that the paramedics give at the beginning of the call? I've played the game multiple times and nothing changes, it still says that I don't have the correct skill.

We might have to wait for it to be released in a future update.

We're currently working on a couple bugs we found in a few of the skills - most notably hacking! You should still be able to get to the prompt with the skill - but the current version of the game will lock up if you say yes. We're going to have this fixed ASAP - we're knocking out the bugs based on the highest reported number and working our way down the list.  Fixing all of the skill issues is on there - we realize we made a few quite tricky, some too tricky, and a couple seem literally impossible to find so we'll be balancing it back out a bit.

The neighbor said that the guy who installed his JoinDispatch home terminal said if you disconnect it it releases a discharge that could kill somebody. Could the discharge be the mist or is it something else?

I think its something else because when the mist came up on our screens about the call after the shift he was calling us from his home terminal wasn’t he?

I don’t think it’s the mist that could discharge and kill someone so fast, it didn’t even harm us and took a while for the other guy to die

Every time I get the pizza call, I wonder if we really are a pizza place in some form or another. Pizza's a cover? Pizza's another way to do whatever creepy mess is going on? Pizza shop owners had bigger, seedier aspirations? There's a thread about how we're selling/providing various kinds of devices. What else does Manager 13 have their hand in?
Jujitsu? I'm going to learn jujitsu?

Do not try to bend the spoon. That is impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth. That there is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends. It is only yourself.

She told you exactly what you needed to hear. That's all.

I'm kinda confused here. With the Cats simulation, you called the police, and everyone's okay? Who is 'everyone'? Isn't there just one person involved. When I got the cat call, I tried sending the firemen (police were otherwise engaged). The caller nearly got in trouble for a wrong report, but I spoke to the firemen, and they agreed not to bring him to the station. (Less paperwork for them.)

Also, all the cats mysteriously slinked off when they heard the sirens.
